1. The composition and production process are different
There are two types of rubber flooring: homogeneous and heterogeneous. Homogeneous refers to the use of natural rubber or natural synthetic rubber as the main material, and the color and composition are generally vulcanized with a single-layer or multi-layer structure; heterogeneous refers to the use of non-natural synthetic rubber as the main material. The main raw material for the production of PVC flooring is polyvinyl chloride.
2. There is a difference in design and color
It is difficult to paint the rubber floor, because rubber has a strong color absorption, so the color of the rubber is less selective, and the color is relatively single. PVC floor is different from it. There are many colors of PVC floor, which can be combined arbitrarily, and owners and designers have more choices.
3. There is a difference in installation difficulty
PVC floor is a lightweight material with very light texture, and it is more convenient and quick to install. The rubber floor is heavier and more laborious to install, and the installation of the rubber floor is very strict. If the installation method is wrong or the installation is not good, bubbles are prone to appear, and there may even be greater defects in the grassroots in the later stage.
4. There is a difference in market demand
Because the price of rubber flooring is very expensive, it is generally only used in relatively high-end places, so the scope of use is very narrow. At present, rubber flooring is mainly used in the transportation field. However, PVC flooring is very cost-effective and has a wide range of applications. Therefore, PVC flooring has more market potential than rubber flooring. PVC flooring is suitable for schools, hospitals, commerce, stadiums, office buildings, industrial sites, transportation and other places.
